Description
A chemical decontamination shower is a forced shower unit installed between a contaminated and a semi-contaminated zone in pharmaceutical plants and laboratories. The person steps in and the unit sprays a disinfectant solution over body and garment before the exit door releases, removing dust, bacteria and other contaminants picked up inside the controlled area and preventing their spread. Disinfectant is dosed on site so the solution stays effective, and even injection mixing keeps the concentration uniform across the spray. The well-sealed cabin, integrated functions and intelligent control run the cycle without an attendant. The same type of unit is used where staff must not carry contamination into or out of high-care production areas in electronics, food, chemical, automotive and aerospace facilities.
