Booster fan filter units (BFU)

Ceiling blower filter units with a built-in fan for turbulent and laminar cleanrooms, bought by cleanroom builders who want a self-contained unit that filters and pushes air into the room without a remote air handling unit.

Description

A blower filter unit (BFU) is a ceiling-mounted air cleaning device with a built-in fan. A fan in the top of the cabinet draws air in, passes it through an internal HEPA filter to remove dust, particles and bacteria, and discharges the cleaned air evenly into the room to build a stable turbulent or laminar environment. Units fit between the bars of a cleanroom ceiling grid and can be arranged to the room layout. Paired with an air conditioning system, the units carry part of the recirculation load so the air handling system can work with a lower supply airflow.

Features

  • HEPA stage filters 99.99% or more of particles, including particles below 0.3 um.
  • Low-noise running for noise-sensitive areas such as electronics workshops and laboratories.
  • Mounts between cleanroom ceiling grid bars; layout follows the room and process arrangement.
  • Working with the air conditioning system, the units carry part of the recirculation load and reduce overall energy use.
  • Cabinet in stainless steel or cold-rolled steel sheet: light, corrosion-resistant and rust-proof.

Applications

  • Semiconductor manufacturing plants with high cleanliness requirements
  • Electronics assembly and component production areas
  • Optics production where particles cause defects and reject parts
  • Biopharmaceutical production areas that must stay sterile

Supply scope

What is supplied, and what stays with the buyer.

  • Fixed configurations only: module size, casing material, supply voltage, filter grade and control interface are confirmed before quotation.
  • Each quoted configuration comes with its specification sheet and packing data per unit.
  • Replacement HEPA filters and spare fans are quoted with the units so first-line maintenance can be planned.
  • Installation into the ceiling grid, electrical connection and airflow balancing stay with the buyer or the buyer's contractor.

Configurations

Fixed configurations that can be quoted.

A configuration code fixes the dimensions, electrical data, materials and documents. Quote requests that reference a code skip the specification round.

Configurations for this family are quoted on request.
