Description
Chemical filters remove specific gaseous contaminants from air by adsorption on activated carbon or other adsorbent media. Three constructions are offered: flat panels for compact equipment; box filters in galvanised or stainless frames with large media beds for air handling units; and FFU chemical filters installed upstream of the HEPA or ULPA filter inside a fan filter unit, protecting the final filter and the room from process gases. Media is selected against the target gas family; the media bed is consumed as it loads and is replaced on saturation.
